It is a delicious alternative to the old fav that is mac & cheese. The sauce also has quite a lot of speed (fat burning veg) in it so that’s a winner. This recipe will make 6 portions.
300g tin carrots
2 x 125g Gogo low fat spreadable cheese
40g light mature cheddar (finely grated)
3 x large sweet pickled gherkins (finely chopped)
6 x large slices of jalepenos (finely chopped)
1 tsp ground mustard
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tbspn red bell pepper flakes
1 tbspn lemon juice
500g dried macaroni
Boil the Macaroni, whilst it’s boiling blend together the gogo cheese with the drained tin of carrots. Add the mustard powder, garlic powder, red bell pepper flakes, lemon juice, gherkins and jalepenos. Mix well.
Once pasta is boiled drain and add sauce. Then mix well add to oven proof dish. Spread the grated cheese on the top and cook for 10 mins in a pre-heated oven (180°).
Hey presto as easy as that and it does have that defining taste of the cheesy nacho sauce.
